Corporate Social Responsibility

Sustainability is a core part of Metz Maritime’s corporate strategy and a key foundation for our business growth. We seek to actively promote greater social responsibility within our offices and encourage the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies. We are committed to a programme of management, continuous improvement and reporting of our direct and indirect impacts, which marks our determination to improving the world in which we live. We strive to be a good corporate citizen, recognising our responsibility to work in partnership with the communities in which we operate. As such we are actively engaged with significant international maritime related charities, as well as local charities and community projects.

Modern Slavery Policy

The Modern Slavery Act 2015 requires certain organisations to be transparent about their efforts to ensure there is no modern slavery, including human trafficking, in their own businesses or supply chains. Modern slavery is a serious crime where people are exploited, abused and treated as a commodity. It includes slavery, servitude and forced labour and human trafficking. In accordance with the Act, Metz Maritime strongly opposes slavery and human trafficking and would never knowingly conduct business with partners, contractors, supply chains or employees that engage in such practice.

Environmental Policy

Metz Maritime is committed to ensure that all reasonable protection is afforded to the environment in which its activities are carried out. We also are committed to protecting the environment and continuously strive to identify and correct any conditions perceived to be hazardous to the environment. We will ensure that all employees are properly informed of their responsibilities for environmental matters.
